Firmware Engineer

Summary

We’re seeking a passionate Firmware Engineer to join our Device Engineering team in shaping the future of IoT for homes and businesses. You’ll help design and build surveillance devices and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Linux-based embedded software design and development, driver
• Optimize streaming protocols, codecs, and video processing for cloud transmission.
• Collaborate with cloud software team to design APIs, protocols, and etc.
• Work with software teams to implement cloud-connected features
• Partner with hardware teams to optimize product performance, power management and driver integration.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in firmware engineering with engineering degree.
• Strong in C/C++ and Python programming.
• Over 5 years of embedded system software development on Linux platforms.
• Hands-on of ISP, video/audio algorithm and surveillance products pipeines.
• Experience in video/audio codec or multimedia frameworks Gstreamer, FFmpeg or etc.)
• Experience in Sigmastar or Amba is a plus.
• Proficient in English
