Summary
Our client is a global hardware manufacturer specializing in mechanical, thermal, and system-level products with large-scale production and international supply chains.
The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for driving supplier quality excellence across qualification, incoming quality, NPI, and continuous improvement activities. This role serves as the key quality interface between suppliers and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring stable quality performance and scalable manufacturing readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding activities
- Conduct quality system audits for new and existing suppliers
- Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes and capability readiness
- Monitor supplier quality performance and key quality indicators
- Perform regular and ad-hoc audits including system, process, and product audits
- Drive supplier corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement programs
- Define and maintain incoming inspection standards and IQC procedures
- Lead root cause analysis for incoming material quality issues
- Coordinate corrective action plans with suppliers and verify effectiveness
- Support NPI activities by engaging suppliers early to ensure quality requirements are embedded
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
- Act as the primary quality communication bridge between suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Analyze supplier quality data and prepare periodic quality performance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Management
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5Why, SPC, FMEA, etc.)
- Familiar with mechanical manufacturing processes and engineering drawings
- Proven experience in supplier audits and supplier development
- ISO internal or lead auditor certification is a plus
- Proficient in Mandarin and English for technical communication and documentation
