My client is expanding their business into renewable energy sector including offshore wind energy. They focusing on the development of maritime and offshore engineering technology, starting from the cable laying business with its own cable laying vessel, the company aims at becoming a turn key solution contractor of renewable energy thru various stages of expansion strategy and associated efforts.
Office manager will play a crucial role in planning and organizing the foreign and local Taiwanese crew matters, in order to ensure continuous operations of the company’s fleet.
Responsibilities|
- Taking care of the recruitment, job application and interview of Crew, including Crew payroll administration with the Finance department
- Working closely with local Maritime Universities and Crewing agencies (including checking invoices where applicable)
- Maintaining Crew records, administration and contacts with foreign and local fleet Crew and Technical Department Head
- Being point of contact for the Crew and willing to be on-call outside working hours
- Monitoring and scheduling all mandatory training, certificates and required documents for the Crew, including arranging the required training
- Arranging Crew changes, including visa, transports (flights, transfers, cars) and accommodation
- Planning and organizing the deployment of foreign and local Taiwanese Crew members on board of the fleet
- Providing an appropriate solution in event of changes, e.g. as a result of illness, late arrival, etc
- Following up of the insurance policy for Crew accidents at work and providing periodic information to insurance company
- Coordination and connection with parent company
- Helping to build up and maintain a friendly and human working atmosphere and relationship on work floor
- Developing Crewing strategies, policies, procedures and costs optimization & liaising with international and local government authorities, such as MOTC, BOE, MOFA, NIA, NCSU (National Chinese Seamen’s union)
Requirements|
- University degree in a relevant discipline such as business administration, international trade, human resources management or similar
- Minimum 1 year experience with crewing and planning matters or similar
- Knowledge of local government regulations and international requirements like ISM (International Safety Management) about Crewing and Crew changes
- Candidates with working experience in maritime engineering and/or offshore engineering and/or wind power related companies are even more welcome.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (verbal and writing)
- Flexibility, eye for details, proactive and result driven, team player
- Strong synthetic, planning and administrative skills and highly independent
- Be optimistic, persistent with open mind, good listening and interaction skill.
