Company Overview
Our client is a fast-growing multinational technology company focused on next-generation computing hardware for large-scale AI and data-intensive workloads.
The company designs and delivers high-performance system-level solutions, working closely with Tier-1 contract manufacturers in Taiwan and globally to support rapid product ramp and mass production.
This is a highly engineering-driven environment with strong ownership, fast execution, and close collaboration between R&D, manufacturing, and operations teams.
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Test Engineer (Taiwan) will own the development, deployment, and sustainment of manufacturing test solutions at Taiwan-based contract manufacturing partners.
You will serve as the primary in-region technical lead for manufacturing test strategy and execution, ensuring scalable, robust, and high-yield test coverage across PCBA, subsystems, and full server-level builds as products move from NPI into mass production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate manufacturing test plans, fixtures, and automated test systems at board, subsystem, and system levels.
- Collaborate with design, packaging, and reliability teams to define test requirements and ensure adequate coverage.
- Ensure test infrastructure readiness to support production ramp and volume scaling.
- Qualify test process readiness at contract manufacturers, optimizing coverage and test time.
- Monitor test KPIs including yield, throughput, and false failure rates; drive continuous improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for test escapes, yield loss, and reliability issues.
- Partner with CM engineering teams during NPI builds, MP ramps, and process change control.
- Provide DFT (Design for Testability) feedback to internal design teams for next-generation products.
- Ensure test solutions are scalable, maintainable, and compliant with quality and reliability standards.
- Act as the primary technical interface for all test-related topics between HQ and Taiwan-based CMs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering for complex hardware systems (servers, networking, or similar).
- Strong background in test development for PCBA, memory, power delivery, and system-level validation.
- Proficiency in automated test systems, scripting (Python, LabVIEW, or similar), and test data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ICT, functional testing, and high-volume manufacturing test strategies.
- Prior experience working directly with Taiwan-based contract manufacturers.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong communication and technical documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel within Taiwan and occasionally overseas.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting NPI to MP ramp for high-performance computing or AI-related hardware.
- Familiarity with memory test, socket qualification, and advanced system-level validation.
- Exposure to reliability testing and failure analysis workflows.
- Experience in startup or fast-growing hardware environments with high ownership.
Why This Role
- High-impact position with full ownership of manufacturing test strategy in Taiwan.
- Close collaboration with R&D, reliability, and factory teams on advanced hardware products.
- Opportunity to shape scalable test infrastructure for next-generation computing systems.
