Job Summary
The Power Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of power systems for rugged notebook and tablet platforms, covering DC/DC conversion, battery systems, and charger design.
This role requires strong hands-on experience in power circuit design, system validation, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring power performance, efficiency, thermal behavior, and reliability meet product requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop power circuits for rugged notebook and tablet products, including DC/DC converters, charger circuits, and battery systems
- Evaluate power performance across efficiency, thermal behavior, stability, and cost
- Perform power circuit testing, debugging, and validation throughout EVT/DVT/PVT stages
- Support adapter and battery integration, including validation and system compatibility
- Optimize power layout and component placement to ensure performance and reliability
- Collaborate with EE, ME, thermal, and manufacturing teams to ensure system-level integration
- Troubleshoot and resolve power-related issues during prototype and mass production stages
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in power circuit design
- Hands-on experience with DC/DC power design and debugging
- Experience in power circuit testing and validation
- Familiar with adapter and battery system integration
- Basic understanding of power layout and component selection
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Working-level English

- Experience in notebook or tablet power design
- Experience in rugged or industrial device power systems
- Familiar with battery management or charging systems
- Experience supporting mass production and manufacturing issues
