The Taiwan R&D team plays a crucial role in hardware innovation and new product introduction (NPI), particularly in the development of next-generation camera systems and other embedded devices. With strong cross-functional collaboration between mechanical, firmware, RF, and manufacturing teams, this company is known for high-reliability hardware, strict compliance standards, and efficient mass production ramp-up.

Responsibilities
- Drive the hardware development process for smart embedded systems, with an emphasis on high-performance camera-based products.
- Lead the selection of electronic components and oversee schematic creation to ensure robust and reliable system design.
- Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to optimize signal and power integrity while maintaining manufacturability.
- Execute hardware bring-up, functional verification, and board-level debugging during the development and validation phases.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams—including firmware, mechanical, RF, and test engineers—to address technical challenges and accelerate product readiness.
- Apply best practices in DFM/DFT to ensure designs are production-ready and scalable.
- Support multiple development milestones, including engineering validation (EVT), design validation (DVT), production validation (PVT), and mass production (MP).
- Ensure compliance with relevant product safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards (e.g., regional regulatory approvals).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience designing hardware for embedded systems, preferably with a strong background in image capture or surveillance solutions.
- Proficient with electrical design tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, or Altium for schematic capture and layout review.
- Solid foundation in power systems, digital/analog interfaces, and embedded system debugging techniques.
- Hands-on experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues independently and collaboratively.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; able to work effectively in a bilingual (English–Mandarin) engineering environment.
