Company Overview
Our client is a technology-driven company specializing in advanced automation equipment and inspection systems.
The team develops in-house electronic control platforms for high-speed, high-precision machines, integrating MCU, FPGA, and embedded systems to support motion control, sensing, and real-time data processing.
This role sits at the core hardware control layer, working closely with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to bring complex equipment from concept to mass production.
Job Summary
This position is a hardware-electronics–driven control role, focusing on MCU- and FPGA-based control system design rather than traditional PLC programming.
You will own electronic control board development, including schematic design, PCB layout coordination, hardware bring-up, debugging, and system-level optimization.
The role plays a key part in bridging electronic hardware, embedded control logic, and machine-level integration, supporting both R&D development and production ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic control systems based on MCU and FPGA architectures for automation or inspection equipment.
- Own schematic design, component selection, PCB layout review, BOM preparation, and hardware bring-up.
- Perform board-level debugging, signal verification, and system validation, including power, timing, and I/O behavior.
- Develop or collaborate on MCU firmware and FPGA logic using Verilog / VHDL to support real-time control and data handling.
- Optimize hardware designs for EMI / ESD robustness, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Work closely with software, mechanical, and system teams during development, verification, and integration phases.
- Support pilot runs, production ramp-up, and on-site troubleshooting when required.
- Assist manufacturing teams with assembly guidance, technical documentation, and operator training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in electronic control or hardware system development.
- Strong hands-on experience with MCU-based control boards and FPGA-based systems.
- Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL for FPGA development.
- Solid background in PCB design concepts, signal integrity, power design, and hardware debugging.
- Experience optimizing designs for EMI, ESD, and industrial environments.
- Ability to collaborate across firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
- Comfortable working hands-on with hardware in both lab and production environments.
- Intermediate English reading and technical communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automation equipment, AOI systems, machine control, or high-speed inspection platforms.
- Familiarity with motion control, sensors, or industrial communication interfaces.
- Prior experience supporting production line setup, assembly, or field deployment.
- Background combining embedded firmware + FPGA + hardware design is highly valued.
Career Development
This role offers long-term growth toward Lead Hardware Engineer, Control Architect, or System Engineering leadership roles.
Engineers in this position gain deep exposure to full-system design, from electronic architecture through machine-level integration and production execution.
