Responsibilities｜
- Operates in the IT environment and has a strong client focus.
- To implement, design and improve processes relating to the administration of databases to ensure function, performance, preserve data.
- Provide software support internally with database systems.
- Sets and maintains operational database standards on an ongoing basis.
- Improves database integrity and set down database design standards.
- Designs and enforces data security policies to eliminate unauthorized access to data on managed data systems in accordance with IT Services technical specifications and business requirements.
- Ensures data redundancy; archiving, backup and recovery mechanisms are in place to prevent the loss of data.
- Set up pre-established jobs to automatically run on a daily basis, to monitor and maintain the operational databases.
- Assist development teams with schema design to achieve performance.
- Completes projects and allocated tasks on schedule.
- Takes on projects as required and works after hours where necessary.
- Completes technical documentation as required.
Requirements｜
- 2+ years of Database experience (Windows database).
- Experience working with AWS Cloud, AWS certifications would be a plus.
- Solid IT knowledge.
- Sound Relational Database Theory understanding.
- Experience writing T-SQL and stored procedures and query tuning on high transaction systems.
- Experience with MSSQL Replication, Availability Groups, Mirroring & Log Shipping, and Service Broker.
- Experienced in MS SQL Dynamic Management Views, Functions & Triggers.
- Certification covering Microsoft SQL 2014/2019.
- Good written and verbal English ability
