Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process, covering the entire product lifecycle
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring alignment with company goals and project timelines.
• Cultivate a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
• Concept proposal and design brainstorming.
• Creation of detailed 3D models and drawings.
• Collaborate with product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into products.
• Act as a key point of contact between the mechanical engineering team and stakeholders.
• Development of prototypes and oversight of hard tooling.
• Control of technical documents, ensuring seamless transition to mass production (MP).
• Conduct patent evaluations to protect design innovations.
• Oversee vendor quality control and ensure product standards are met.
• Develop and execute cost plans for optimized resource allocation.
• Perform CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) analysis to enhance product reliability and performance.

Recommended Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven expertise in leading teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept to mass production.
• Strong experience in 3D mechanical design using Creo.
• Hands-on experience in designing server or switch-related mechanical structures.
• Proven ability to conduct simulations and analyses for product optimization.
• Capable of independently communicating and collaborating with clients to address technical needs and requirements.
