Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process, covering the entire product lifecycle
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring alignment with company goals and project timelines.
- Cultivate a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
- Concept proposal and design brainstorming.
- Creation of detailed 3D models and drawings.
- Collaborate with product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into products.
- Act as a key point of contact between the mechanical engineering team and stakeholders.
- Development of prototypes and oversight of hard tooling.
- Control of technical documents, ensuring seamless transition to mass production (MP).
- Conduct patent evaluations to protect design innovations.
- Oversee vendor quality control and ensure product standards are met.
- Develop and execute cost plans for optimized resource allocation.
- Perform CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) analysis to enhance product reliability and performance.
Recommended Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in leading teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept to mass production.
- Strong experience in 3D mechanical design using Creo.
- Hands-on experience in designing server or switch-related mechanical structures.
- Proven ability to conduct simulations and analyses for product optimization.
- Capable of independently communicating and collaborating with clients to address technical needs and requirements.
