Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Program Managers to gather complete assembly and testing requirements for new products. Research and propose optimal solutions to enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, and maintain high quality.
• Work with Product Managers and engineering teams to design assembly jigs, testing fixtures, and production setups that ensure quality assembly and efficient testing while optimizing cycle times.
• Evaluate opportunities for enhancements in manufacturability (DFM), cost (DFC), testability (DFT), and automation (DFA) to streamline production processes.
• Lead the setup of product assembly and testing environments, including drafting and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both assembly and system testing.
• Partner with Test and Quality Engineers to review production systems and related documents, ensuring readiness for handover to manufacturing partners.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate production setups at manufacturing sites. Analyze and resolve design or production failures, driving continuous improvements in quality and yield.
• Simplify, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes to establish stable production lines with high quality yields.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
• Over 10 years of hands-on production engineering experience, from early production builds to mass production, with strong expertise in product assembly and system testing.
• Proficient in designing test jigs and fixtures for consumer and commercial electronic devices.
• Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Availability for occasional travel across Asia and the US.
