Summary
As the Automation Deputy Manager, you will support the planning and execution of automation solution strategies across various industries. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, sales, product, and training—to deliver customer solutions using the company’s core automation portfolio. This role is ideal for a technically capable and people-oriented leader who is eager to grow into a higher strategic or managerial role.
Responsibilities
- Support the department manager in overseeing daily operations and leading technical initiatives across automation solution projects.
- Lead and supervise the design and deployment of automation systems using PLCs, motion controllers, vision systems, safety components, and robotics.
- Collaborate with sales and product teams to develop pre-sales strategies and customer engagement plans.
- Provide hands-on technical consultation, solution proposals, and functional demonstrations to clients and partners.
- Manage proof-of-concept (PoC) development projects and support post-sale application optimization.
- Guide junior engineers through coaching, knowledge transfer, and technical reviews.
- Track market trends and emerging technologies to support solution roadmap planning.
- Assist in project scheduling, technical documentation, and cross-regional coordination when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial automation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Familiar with PLC programming (e.g., IEC 61131-3), motion control, sensors, safety logic, and vision systems.
- Strong customer communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in both Mandarin and English (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in smart factory / Industry 4.0 implementation or systems integration.
- Familiarity with industrial networking (e.g., EtherCAT, Modbus, OPC-UA).
- Exposure to robotics and automation-related software platforms.
- Cross-cultural or regional project coordination experience is a plus.
