Head of Operations

Summary

The company is a high-performing investment firm; we are seeking a seasoned Head of Operations to oversee and evolve the company’s full spectrum of non-investment operations. This leader will play a mission-critical role in scaling infrastructure, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring operational excellence across traditional and digital asset workflows. The ideal candidate brings deep experience from hedge funds, trading firms, or crypto-native platforms, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-trust environment with flat hierarchy and direct access to key decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Design, manage, and scale firm-wide operational processes: trade lifecycle, compliance (non-financial), vendor management, and internal systems.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between trading, engineering, compliance, finance, and HR to ensure seamless workflow and execution.
  • Establish KPIs and accountability structures across operational functions.
  • Drive initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and risk reduction.
• Technology & Infrastructure Oversight
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to ensure system resilience, cybersecurity readiness, business continuity, and tooling integrity.
  • Oversee integration of external APIs, middle/back office platforms, and vendor services.
  • Maintain operational excellence across digital asset custody, centralized platforms, and infrastructure.
• Middle & Back Office Execution
  • Lead all post-trade operations: reconciliation, margin & collateral, settlement, and dashboard accuracy.
  • Ensure synchronization across fund administrators, custodians, and broker relationships.
• Governance & Internal Enablement
  • Own non-financial compliance efforts in coordination with external counsel.
  • Oversee HR processes (in collaboration with team leads): recruiting, performance, and team structuring.
  • Manage KYC/AML protocols across counterparties and investor operations.
  • Drive internal knowledge systems and procedural documentation.
• Client & Investor Support
  • Ensure operational readiness for investor onboarding, reporting, and due diligence.
  • Maintain strong client experience in operational communications and transparency.
• Crypto-Native Ops (Preferred)
  • Experience managing wallet operations (hot/cold/MPC), on-chain settlement, smart contract interactions, and centralized exchange operations is a strong advantage.

Requirements

• 8–15 years of progressive experience in operations leadership within hedge funds, proprietary trading, or crypto-native environments.
• Deep familiarity with trading infrastructure, cross-asset post-trade workflows, digital asset custody, and regulatory environments.
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and building scalable operational frameworks.
• Hands-on operator with strong strategic thinking, judgment, and execution ability.
• Bachelor’s degree required; technical or legal background is a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
