PCB Layout Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a PCB Layout Engineer to support the layout design of notebook, tablet, and video system products. The role will work closely with hardware, mechanical, RF, EMC, and power engineers to ensure high-quality PCB implementation and compliance with design rules and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCB layout design including placement, routing, stack-up planning, and Gerber output for notebooks, tablets, and video system products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement PCB routing rules (signal, power, RF, EMC, mechanical).
• Evaluate layout feasibility, optimize routing paths, and ensure DFM/DFT compliance.
• Review schematic, generate necessary layout documentation, and support engineering builds.
• Conduct layout checks to meet electrical, thermal, and mechanical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in PCB layout design (consumer electronics preferred).
• Proficient in Cadence Allegro (17.4), including schematic, placement, routing, and Gerber generation; component library creation is a plus.
• Familiar with PCB fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with notebook or tablet PCB layout is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of power routing rules, EMI/EMC layout principles, and high-speed guidelines.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, responsible, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• English proficiency at an intermediate level.
