My client is a software platform startup with solid industry experience, now eager for a talent with great accountability and responsiveness in work. You will act as the first R&D in the team to own next-gen platform system.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end feature development, from Go API design to SvelteKit UI implementation.
- Build scalable, maintainable APIs and PostgreSQL schemas with strong performance awareness.
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and code maintainability.
- Contribute to technical design, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate and adopt suitable tools/infrastructure (e.g., GCP, Cloudflare) based on product needs.
- Collaborate closely with PM and Designer to turn product ideas into practical technical solutions.
- Identify technical risks early and propose clear, feasible alternatives.
- Ensure delivery quality across UX, system consistency, and long-term platform value.
- Support team growth through code reviews, technical sharing, and strong engineering culture.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience, with ability to independently ship features end to end.
- Strong backend skills in Go and frontend experience in SvelteKit (or similar frameworks).
- Solid experience in API design, PostgreSQL schema design, and performance optimization.
- Working in a startup environment with changing priorities and ambiguity.
- Experience with cloud/infrastructure tools such as GCP and Cloudflare.
- Able to work closely with PM, Designer, and Engineering to deliver clear, executable solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to challenge assumptions and simplify complex systems.
- Comfortable with code reviews and maintaining engineering quality standards.
- Open to AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Copilot, Claude).
Nice to Have
- Startup experience (0-to-1 or 1-to-N product development).
- Experience with CI/CD, testing workflows, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with refactoring or performance optimization at system level.
