Summary
We are seeking a highly agile, dynamic, and strategic Finance Controller & Operations Lead to join a founding team in Taiwan (R&D Hub). In this pivotal role, you will lead our financial infrastructure from “0 to 1” while diving deep into operational and supply chain efficiency.
As a core business partner to the leadership team, you will bridge high-level financial strategy—such as cross-border corporate structuring, Seed/Series A fundraising readiness, and equity design—with hands-on operational execution. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing Energy OS & green infrastructure platform.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Finance, Equity Design & Fundraising Readiness
- Partner with the founders and external legal/audit partners to design and optimize global corporate structures suited for international expansion (APAC, Australia, North America).
- Drive financial due diligence (DD) readiness, manage investor relations for Seed and upcoming Series A rounds, and coordinate capital tables/equity incentives.
- Supervise compliance, tax localization, and international regulatory frameworks across dual markets (Australia & Taiwan).
- Financial Infrastructure & “0-to-1” Control
- Establish robust internal control systems, financial accounting policies, and corporate governance from scratch.
- Clean up historical tax, compliance, or reporting pain points to ensure institutional-grade audit readiness.
- Build dynamic corporate budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow/runway management models to support rapid scaling and R&D deployments.
- Cross-Functional Operations & Energy Hardware Costing
- Deeply integrate finance with daily technical operations; develop operational costing, BOM (Bill of Materials) structures, and working-hour analysis models to optimize product pricing and profitability visibility.
- Oversee supply chain finance, hardware vendor coordination, and general corporate operations in Taiwan.
- Spearhead cloud-based ERP or management dashboard implementations to create real-time KPI visibility for executive decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Big Four auditing experience is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of corporate financial management experience, ideally with a proven track record of setting up financial functions in a fast-paced technology, hardware-plus-software, or renewable energy startup.
- Experience or strong familiarity with international corporate restructuring, M&A frameworks, or fundraising processes across cross-border entities.
- Ability to analyze hardware/software operational costs and build data-driven efficiency models rather than just processing traditional backward-looking accounting reports.
- Exceptional communication skills in both Mandarin and English; ability to present dense financial insights clearly to international stakeholders.
