An innovative, fast-growing EDA solutions provider specializing in advanced logic equivalence checking and functional ECO automation tools. We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to serve as the key technical bridge between world-class IC design clients and our internal R&D team, driving tool adoption and resolving complex technical challenges across global markets.
Responsibilities
- Client Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical contact for overseas clients, demonstrating tool capabilities, troubleshooting deployment issues, and providing top-tier technical support.
- Cross-Functional Feedback: Systematically track, organize, and manage technical tickets, case studies, and presentation slides, effectively translating client issues into actionable feedback for internal R&D teams.
- Tool Integration & Automation: Drive front-end tool integration, conduct rigorous debugging, and develop customized operational scripts to optimize tool efficiency within the client’s environment.
- Frontline Troubleshooting: Actively engage in advanced debugging sessions and field support, ensuring smooth tool execution throughout the client’s design flow.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree or above in Integrated Circuits, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
- Language Skills: Business-fluent English with outstanding communication capabilities, able to independently conduct technical meetings and interface smoothly with overseas clients.
- Technical Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on debugging experience with industry-standard tools, specifically Conformal and Formality.
- Design Flow Knowledge: Solid familiarity with front-end tool flows (Comprehensive, Formal, DFT, LEC), APR (Automatic Place and Route) physical design flows, and RTL/Verilog.
- CAD & Scripting: Strong CAD background with a comprehensive understanding of the entire IC design spectrum (from RTL to GDS) and proficiency in writing automation scripts for tool operation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Practical, hands-on experience participating in Functional ECO (Engineering Change Order) projects is highly preferred.
- Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel to the United States for business trips to support client needs (must possess or be eligible to apply for a US visa).
