As embedded hardware and edge intelligence become increasingly integrated into partner products, the company is expanding its Embedded Technical Partner (ETP) ecosystem in Taiwan. This role will focus on building long-term partnerships with manufacturers and technology companies by embedding the company’s hardware technology into their future product platforms.
Job Summary
The Key Account Manager – ETP will be responsible for developing strategic OEM / embedded hardware partnerships and driving long-term design-in wins.
This is not a traditional transactional sales role. You will manage the complete customer lifecycle from early product roadmap engagement and technical evaluation through design-in, prototype, mass production, commercial negotiation, and long-term account development.
The ideal candidate combines strong B2B hardware sales experience, technical literacy, and strategic account-management capability.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with manufacturers, OEMs, and technology companies.
- Drive hardware component design-in opportunities and secure long-term platform adoption.
- Engage customer stakeholders across Engineering, Product Management, Procurement, and executive leadership.
- Understand partner product roadmaps and identify opportunities where embedded hardware solutions can create measurable value.
- Build joint value propositions that enhance customer product performance and competitiveness.
- Manage long sales cycles from technical evaluation and prototype through qualification and mass production.
- Act as the commercial and strategic bridge between customer engineering teams and internal R&D, Product, and Supply Chain organizations.
- Coordinate technical integration, product availability, qualification, and delivery schedules.
- Lead pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, and long-term supply agreements.
- Support negotiations involving IP, supply commitments, and multi-year partnership terms.
- Develop account strategies, opportunity pipelines, and long-term revenue plans.
- Maintain strong executive and engineering relationships to ensure sustained account growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer roadmap developments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B Hardware Sales, Key Account Management, OEM Sales, Business Development, or Strategic Alliances.
- Experience in semiconductors, embedded systems, IoT, electronics, industrial modules, networking, or related technology sectors.
- Proven experience driving complex hardware design-in opportunities.
- Ability to understand hardware architecture, datasheets, specifications, and system-integration challenges.
- Comfortable communicating directly with customer engineers and technical teams.
- Experience managing long sales cycles, typically 6–18 months.
- Strong commercial negotiation and account-management capability.
- Experience with global supply chains and hardware manufacturing processes.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Strong ownership, organization, and ability to manage multiple strategic accounts independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling embedded modules, semiconductor products, connectivity solutions, camera / imaging hardware, or electronic components.
- Familiarity with networking, IP-based technologies, edge devices, or embedded systems.
- Experience working with OEM / ODM customers in Taiwan.
- Track record of managing products from early design-in through NPI and mass production.
- Experience negotiating long-term supply agreements and strategic contracts.
- Existing relationships with hardware manufacturers, system integrators, or industrial technology companies.
- Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Networking, or Embedded Systems is a plus.
