Responsibilities
- Lead product development from initial concept through to production.
- Actively contribute to system design for embedded computing systems.
- Develop hardware specifications and create test plans.
- Capture schematics using design tools such as Orcad.
- Collaborate with layout, mechanical, and signal integrity engineers to complete designs.
- Bring up systems and execute engineering validation in the lab.
- Participate in technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
- Directly interact with customers and address their technical needs.
- Solve challenging technical problems and resolve issues.
- Manage multiple concurrent tasks effectively.
- Oversee hardware builds and procurement activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6+ years of hardware engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of board design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and signal integrity.
- Experience with design tools such as Cadence Orcad and Allegro.
- Familiarity with basic interfaces such as I2C, SMBUS, SPI, UART, USB.
- Understanding of high-speed interfaces like PCIe, DDR, Display, and Network interfaces.
- Experience with DC-DC step-down converter design.
- Familiarity with x86/Arm servers and subsystems.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and design validation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Linux and scripting languages is a plus.
