Power Electronics Engineer (PoE)

A fast-growing wireless technology company specializing in next-gen broadband is seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in PoE (Power over Ethernet) design to develop advanced circuitry and high-speed boards for mmWave platforms and networking equipment, ensuring exceptional performance, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PoE circuitry compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standards.
• Ensure reliable power delivery, protection, and efficiency for networking hardware.
• Validate PoE system performance using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, thermal tools).
• Collaborate with HW Lead on PCB layout to ensure proper power integrity.
• Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and resolution of power-related issues.
• Assist manufacturing with power test benches and resolve production challenges.
• Document power design, test reports, and compliance records for team communication.
• Stay updated on PoE technologies and propose improvements for system designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PoE circuit design and hardware development.
• Strong understanding of IEEE 802.3af/at/bt and related compliance requirements.
• Skilled in schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence).
• Hands-on debugging and validation experience with oscilloscopes, analyzers, and EMI tools.
• Familiarity with thermal management and EMI/EMC considerations in PoE systems.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with networking or telecom hardware platforms is a plus.
• Proficient in English communication.
