Summary
We are looking for a Product Engineer to support semiconductor products from new product introduction through mass production. This role will work closely with IC Design, Product Test Engineering (PTE), Test Engineering, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams to analyze production data, identify yield and test issues, and drive technical closure.
Responsibilities
- Analyze wafer sort (WS) and final test (FT) bin pareto and COF (Correlation/Failure) analysis to identify key yield and performance issues.
- Drive IC Design / Block Owners and cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and achieve technical debug closure based on PTE and production data analysis.
- Perform yield analysis, electrical data analysis, and statistical trend monitoring to identify abnormal patterns and potential product issues.
- Support tester debug activities, including Shmoo analysis, pin margin analysis, error map analysis, and test vector debug.
- Analyze test data and correlate tester results with product performance and design behavior to identify failure mechanisms.
- Support shift analysis and reliability-related activities, including HTOL, ESD, and Latch-Up (LU), and coordinate with logistics and engineering teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Support new product introduction, product qualification, and production ramp activities from engineering validation through mass production.
- Work closely with Design, PTE, Test, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams to resolve product and test-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement, test optimization, quality improvement, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Prepare technical analysis, failure summaries, and engineering reports for internal and cross-functional review.
- Maintain product qualification, test, and manufacturing documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of semiconductor wafer sort and final test processes.
- Hands-on experience with bin pareto analysis, yield analysis, COF analysis, and production test data analysis.
- Familiarity with tester debug methodologies, including Shmoo, pin margin, error map, and vector debug.
- Experience with semiconductor reliability testing such as HTOL, ESD, and Latch-Up (LU) is preferred.
- Experience working with IC Design teams or Block Owners to identify and close product issues is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes from large sets of production data.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Exensio, JMP, or similar semiconductor data analysis platforms.
- Experience with OT+ or similar semiconductor test/yield analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Good written and spoken English is preferred.
- Scripting/programming experience, such as Python, is a plus.
