Responsibilities

Manage and oversee supplier collaborations in mechanical design projects, including phases from ID and RFQ to NPI and MP, ensuring functional achievement, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in areas such as mechanical design, materials, and reliability through DQA planning.
Design and develop products according to established specifications, conducting mechanical testing, motion studies, and evaluations on CAD models and prototypes in coordination with the Design Quality Engineer and Product Management.
Provide support to quality, product, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle, addressing design and production challenges, enhancing quality, and reducing manufacturing costs.
Evaluate technical feasibility, technology readiness, cost-effectiveness, and risks from a mechanical perspective for both new and ongoing projects.
Identify inefficiencies in mechanical processes and drive initiatives to improve performance and outcomes.
Conduct analysis and testing on prototypes and device iterations to ensure functionality and reliability.
Stay updated on advancements in materials, manufacturing methods, and electro-mechanical systems to integrate innovative solutions into projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in computer peripheral product development.
Advanced proficiency in CAD software for design and analysis.
Solid understanding of project estimation and planning techniques.
Fluency in Mandarin and strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
Excellent teamwork abilities with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, coupled with a proactive “can-do” mindset.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and decision-making capabilities.
Willingness to travel bi-monthly within Taiwan and/or Mainland China, with occasional travel to Germany (approximately once per year)
