Summary
We are looking for a Senior Thermal Engineer to support thermal solution development for networking and wireless products. This role focuses on thermal simulation, validation, and collaboration with thermal module vendors to ensure reliable, cost-effective thermal designs. The position works closely with program teams and contributes to continuous improvement in thermal design methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with thermal module vendors to develop and optimize product thermal solutions.
- Perform thermal measurement and validation for selected projects.
- Prepare and maintain thermal design guidelines and best practices.
- Work closely with program and cross-functional teams throughout product development.
- Conduct thermal simulations for WiFi and networking products.
- Utilize thermal simulation tools such as ANSYS ICEPAK or FloTHERM.
- Research, evaluate, and validate new thermal solutions and materials.
- Develop training materials and share thermal design knowledge within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in thermal simulation and thermal module design.
- Hands-on experience with FloTHERM and/or ICEPAK.
- Solid understanding of thermal measurement, validation, and simulation methodology.
- Experience with cost analysis and cost reduction for thermal solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Intermediate English proficiency for technical communication.
Qualifications
- Experience with server, storage, switch, or WiFi system architecture.
- Familiarity with thermal module vendor management.
- Background in high-volume consumer or networking products.
