Job Summary
The Service Engineer will be responsible for equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-site technical support for customers across Southern Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
This role requires strong hands-on engineering capability and the ability to independently support customer equipment issues, including installation, calibration, repair, preventive maintenance, and process optimization.
The engineer will work closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and overseas factories to ensure stable equipment performance and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Support installation, setup, calibration, testing, and commissioning of equipment at customer sites
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and performance optimization for industrial equipment
- Analyze equipment failures and provide corrective action recommendations to customers
- Support preventive maintenance and continuous equipment improvement activities
- Train customers on equipment operation and routine maintenance procedures
- Prepare service reports, maintenance documentation, and technical issue records
- Coordinate with internal engineering and service teams to resolve customer issues efficiently
- Manage spare parts, tools, inventory, and technical documentation
- Support customer projects across Southern Taiwan and occasionally Southeast Asia
- Participate in overseas training and regional technical support activities
Requirements
- Associate degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in equipment service, automation, SMT, semiconductor, or industrial equipment industries
- Hands-on troubleshooting and equipment maintenance capability
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, mechanical assembly, and industrial equipment operation
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently at customer sites
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Intermediate English communication ability
- Native-level Mandarin Chinese communication ability
- Valid driver’s license and self-owned vehicle preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- SMT equipment experience preferred
- Semiconductor or solar industry experience is a plus
- Experience supporting industrial manufacturing equipment in customer-facing environments
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and equipment optimization
- Experience supporting customers across Taiwan and Southeast Asia preferred
