Responsibilities
- Bring-up & Porting: Lead Android BSP porting and full-system bring-up on new SoC/hardware platforms.
- Driver & Peripheral Integration: Bring up core subsystems including Display, Touch, Camera, Audio, Connectivity (Wi-Fi/BT/Ethernet), and Power Management (Battery/PMIC).
- Kernel & Device Tree: Configure and tune Linux kernel; modify Device Trees (DTS/DTSI) based on hardware schematics and datasheets.
- HAL & Framework: Develop/modify Android HALs (including AIDL) to integrate Android Framework with Linux drivers.
- Build & Bootloader: Maintain AOSP build environments (repo, Soong, Clang) and optimize boot sequence across Bootloader, Kernel, and Android Init.
- Debug & Performance: Root-cause system issues using ADB, dmesg, Logcat, JTAG, and UART; optimize performance via perf and ftrace.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Android BSP porting, Linux kernel/driver development, and AOSP build/architecture.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and hands-on experience with Device Tree (DTS) modifications.
- Proficient with debugging tools (ADB, dmesg, Logcat, UART) and capable of reading English schematics and datasheets.
- Experience with major ARM SoCs (e.g., Qualcomm, MediaTek, NXP, Rockchip).
- Hands-on experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon / QCS platforms.
- Familiarity with recent Android versions (Android 13+) and modern architecture (AIDL HAL, Project Treble, SELinux).
