We are seeking a high-caliber Staff Field Application Engineer to serve as the technical cornerstone for our regional integration and support group. In this leadership-focused capacity, you will bridge the gap between our cutting-edge wireless R&D and large-scale product deployment, ensuring that sophisticated positioning and short-range communication technologies are seamlessly unified within next-generation computing and automotive ecosystems
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical lead for regional platform integration, bridging the gap between core R&D and large-scale product deployment.
- Lead high-complexity engineering projects, providing expert direction on product applications and hardware-software co-design.
- Architect and optimize device drivers (Linux/Android/Windows) and associated middleware to meet diverse customer constraints.
- Oversee the integration of advanced positioning (GNSS/Dead Reckoning) and short-range wireless (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) features.
- Spearhead the debugging of intricate system-level issues, utilizing both software diagnostics and physical hardware analysis (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers).
- Act as the primary technical bridge between firmware, hardware design, and field application teams across US, UK, and Asia.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- 7+ years in embedded systems with a focus on hardware-software co-design or complex peripheral integration.
- Domain Expertise:
- Deep understanding of wireless communication protocols and internet technologies (TCP/IP, MQTT, or Secure Key Management).
- Demonstrated success with major SoC architectures (ARM/Intel/AMD), including system bring-up and power management.
- Expert knowledge of kernel-level development, concurrency, and interrupt management across RTOS or Linux environments.
- Skilled in using embedded tools (emulators/debuggers) and physical diagnostic equipment like oscilloscopes.
- Fluency in English with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage alignment across global time zones.
