Company Overview
Our client is a leading Korean semiconductor equipment company providing advanced manufacturing, automation, and test solutions to major semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.
To strengthen its customer support capability in Taiwan, the company is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support wafer probers and related semiconductor test equipment at customer sites.
This role will work closely with a Korea-based manager and headquarters engineering teams while serving as a key local technical contact for customers in Taiwan. As the Taiwan business expands, the position may offer opportunities to take on broader customer, technical, and organizational responsibilities.
Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the onsite installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of wafer probers and related semiconductor back-end test equipment in Taiwan.
This is an independent, customer-facing role requiring strong hands-on equipment experience, sound technical judgment, and the ability to manage customer issues with limited local supervision.
The successful candidate will communicate directly with customer engineering teams, provide timely equipment support, and coordinate with Korea headquarters to resolve complex technical issues. The role requires fluent Mandarin, Korean communication capability, regular customer-site travel, and flexibility to support fab schedules when necessary.

- Support equipment readiness and issue resolution during installation, qualification, and production ramp-up.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding equipment condition, downtime, recovery progress, action plans, and technical issues.
- Manage assigned customer issues independently and ensure timely follow-up and ownership.
- Work closely with Korea headquarters engineering and service teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Escalate unresolved issues with clear technical information, troubleshooting history, and appropriate judgment.
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records, troubleshooting documents, and issue-escalation reports.
- Support spare-parts management and service schedule planning.
- Provide basic equipment operation or maintenance training to customers when required.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone or email during working hours.
- Support occasional on-call or weekend service activities based on customer fab schedules.

- Cleanroom and customer-fab working experience.
- Strong troubleshooting capability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, motor, motion-control, servo, vacuum, automation, or equipment-software systems.
- Experience performing equipment installation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibration, and issue resolution.
