The Taiwan manufacturing site is a core production and operations hub, responsible for end-to-end manufacturing execution, quality, supply chain coordination, and continuous operational excellence to support global markets.
Summary
The Plant Director / Site General Manager will take full ownership of a 300–700 headcount manufacturing site in Taiwan, overseeing production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and site operations.
This role requires a strong manufacturing leader capable of balancing cost, quality, delivery, and people management, while driving operational scalability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced consumer hardware environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for site operations, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and facilities.
- Manage large-scale production teams (300–700 employees), including managers, supervisors, and frontline operators.
- Ensure on-time delivery, quality performance, cost control, and capacity planning aligned with global business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across productivity, yield, efficiency, and cost (Lean / CI / automation).
- Oversee NPI, ramp-up, and mass production execution for consumer hardware products.
- Partner with global HQ and regional teams on production planning, resource allocation, and operational strategy.
- Ensure compliance with safety, labor regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Build a strong leadership pipeline and foster a culture of accountability, execution, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in thermal simulation and thermal module design.
- Hands-on experience with FloTHERM and/or ICEPAK.
- Solid understanding of thermal measurement, validation, and simulation methodology.
- Experience with cost analysis and cost reduction for thermal solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Intermediate English proficiency for technical communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with 8+ years in senior plant leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing mid-to-large scale factories (300–700+ employees).
- Strong background in consumer electronics, PC components, or high-volume hardware manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success in production ramp, cost optimization, and quality improvement.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and quality systems.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.

- Experience working in global matrix organizations.
- Background in ODM / EMS / brand-owned manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to automation, smart manufacturing, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience interfacing with international customers and executive stakeholders.
