Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Sales to lead and accelerate our commercial growth, with a primary focus on Modern Trade (Key Accounts, Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, Convenience Stores) and Traditional Distribution Channels. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining the channel strategies, maximizing revenue growth, managing commercial trade spend, and strengthening long-term partnerships with major retail accounts and regional distributors. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of sales leadership within the FMCG or consumer goods industry, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to inspire a high-performing sales team.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Commercial Leadership: Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies for Modern Trade (MT) and Traditional Distribution channels to achieve corporate volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Channel & Key Account Management: Oversee Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key modern trade accounts (e.g., major hypermarkets, supermarkets, and CVS chains) to ensure optimal product visibility, listing, and promotional execution.
- Distributor Management: Develop, evaluate, and manage the distributor network to expand numeric and weighted distribution across assigned territories, ensuring robust inventory control and pipeline visibility.
- Trade Spend & P&L Optimization: Manage the commercial budget efficiently, optimizing trade spend, rebates, and promotional investments to maximize ROI and maintain overall channel profitability (P&L tracking).
- Market Intelligence & Forecasting: Collaborate closely with Demand Planning and Marketing teams to provide accurate sales forecasts, market trend insights, and competitive analysis to capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Team Empowerment & Capability Building: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales and key account management teams, establishing clear KPIs, tracking performance, and cultivating a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of sales management experience in the FMCG or consumer products sector, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or people management role.
- Channel Expertise: Deep, established relationships and a proven track record managing major Modern Trade key accounts (Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, Convenience Stores) and handling complex distributor networks in Taiwan.
- Financial & Analytical Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with solid experience in managing P&L, commercial trade terms negotiations, and trade budget optimization.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and high-stakes negotiation skills. Strong leadership capability with a passion for mentoring teams.
- Languages: Fluency in traditional Chinese and business-level proficiency in English is highly preferred.
