Summary
We are supporting a global consumer hardware company in the search for a Manufacturing Program Manager to lead end-to-end engagement with external manufacturing partners. This role sits at the center of hardware manufacturing execution, working closely with internal engineering, supply chain, planning, finance, and quality teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and cost-effective production.
This position owns manufacturing readiness, partner performance, and operational execution across multiple programs. You will act as the primary interface between internal stakeholders and external ODM/JDM partners, with a strong focus on delivery reliability, cost optimization, and continuous operational improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own manufacturing readiness and execution outcomes across multiple hardware programs, ensuring products move from build readiness to stable mass production with minimal disruption.
- Translate program requirements into executable manufacturing plans, aligning material readiness, capacity planning, and partner execution with overall delivery commitments.
- Hold external manufacturing partners accountable for performance, including delivery reliability, quality stability, scalability, and responsiveness to change.
- Drive cost and operational efficiency at the factory level, identifying structural improvement opportunities across assembly, yield, and manufacturing value add rather than ad-hoc cost reduction.
- Serve as the escalation owner for manufacturing execution risks, leading cross-functional problem solving when delivery, quality, or capacity issues arise.
- Partner with engineering and planning teams during NPI and transition phases, ensuring design changes and ramp activities are absorbed smoothly by manufacturing partners.
- Own the commercial execution of manufacturing engagements, including cost-down cadence, claims resolution, and capacity commitments in alignment with business priorities.
- Ensure continuity of supply for critical components and spare parts, balancing risk mitigation, data accuracy, and long-term supply stability.
- Lead regular performance and risk reviews with manufacturing partners, focusing on execution discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing-related roles, such as supply chain, manufacturing operations, procurement, or program management, supporting physical or hardware products.
- Experience working closely with external manufacturing partners, with responsibility that goes beyond coordination and includes delivery, execution, or performance outcomes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing readiness and execution topics, such as material availability, capacity constraints, and production ramp considerations.
- Exposure to cost, efficiency, or operational improvement initiatives in a factory or manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, planning, finance, and quality teams in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder setting.
- Able to operate in ambiguous situations, manage escalations when issues arise, and drive alignment toward execution-focused solutions.
