Summary
The PC Server Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of new x86-based server platforms. This role includes schematic design, prototype debugging, production readiness, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time delivery and high product quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead x86 server hardware development projects from concept to mass production.
- Design and implement hardware circuits, ensuring functional and electrical integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in project execution and communication.
- Manage pilot builds, oversee product quality, and resolve production issues.
- Perform hardware debugging, issue tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement in product yield and reliability.
- Execute VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) initiatives for cost optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hardware design or system integration experience in PC or server industry.
- Hands-on experience with x86 platform design, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiar with server system integration, signal integrity, and production processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Intermediate English proficiency for technical communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in server or networking hardware design.
- Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, SATA, etc.).
- Familiarity with VAVE or cost-down projects in electronic systems.
