Company Overview
Our client is a global power semiconductor company developing next-generation GaN/SiC and wide-bandgap power technologies for high-efficiency power conversion.
Its solutions address fast-growing markets including AI data centers, high-performance computing, server power supplies, EV, industrial, and energy applications. As AI infrastructure drives rapidly increasing rack-level power requirements, the company is expanding its product and system leadership in Asia to accelerate adoption of advanced GaN power solutions.
Job Summary
The Product Marketing Director – GaN Power Devices will own product positioning, roadmap definition, and market development for GaN power solutions across Taiwan and China, with a particular focus on AI data centers, high-performance computing, and server power architectures.
This is a highly technical product leadership role combining Power Electronics, Product Marketing, Business Development, and Customer Applications.
The successful candidate will work directly with customer engineering and architecture teams to understand future power requirements, translate them into product and system roadmaps, and drive design wins from early architecture engagement through NPI and mass production.
Responsibilities
- Own product value propositions and market positioning for GaN power products in Taiwan and China.
- Define GaN product and system roadmaps based on customer requirements, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Focus on strategic applications including AI / HPC rack power, server PSUs, performance computing, and data center infrastructure.
- Translate customer platform requirements, power architectures, efficiency targets, and cost objectives into actionable product requirements.
- Identify high-growth applications and platforms where GaN technology can provide meaningful system-level advantages.
- Engage directly with customer engineering, system architecture, sourcing, and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the technical and commercial value of GaN solutions through quantitative system-level analysis.
- Work closely with customers to accelerate design-in, qualification, NPI, and mass-production ramp.
- Serve as a key interface across customers, distributors, Sales, and FAE organizations.
- Collaborate with FAE, Sales, Quality, Product Engineering, Operations, and Marketing teams to drive business execution.
- Conduct market analysis including TAM / SAM, revenue potential, gross-margin contribution, and product lifetime-value assessment.
- Develop business cases for new products and strategic technology investments.
- Create product marketing collateral, technical whitepapers, reference architectures, and conference presentations.
- Monitor competitive technologies, power architectures, and semiconductor trends to guide future product strategy.
- Take increasing ownership of product-line strategy and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of combined experience in power electronics, including Product Marketing, Application Marketing, Systems Engineering, Applications Engineering, FAE, or Business Development.
- Strong understanding of high-power architectures and power-conversion topologies.
- Ability to discuss power-system architecture directly with senior customer engineers and system architects.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor product development and design-in processes.
- Proven ability to translate customer requirements into product specifications and roadmap decisions.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect technical differentiation with customer and business value.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong ownership, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives.
- Fluent Mandarin and English.
- Ability to travel approximately 40% within Asia, primarily China, with occasional travel to the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GaN, SiC, or other wide-bandgap power semiconductor technologies.
- Experience with power ICs, power discretes, controllers, drivers, or integrated power solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AI server, data center, HPC, or infrastructure power architectures.
- Familiarity with high-power PSU architectures and topologies such as PFC, LLC, Totem-Pole, multi-phase, or high-voltage DC conversion.
- Experience engaging server OEMs / ODMs, hyperscalers, power-supply manufacturers, or data-center infrastructure customers.
- Previous Product Marketing or Application Marketing experience.
- Experience conducting TAM / SAM analysis, product business cases, revenue forecasting, and gross-margin analysis.
- Experience defining semiconductor product roadmaps.
- Track record of taking new products from concept through design-in and volume production.
