Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee technical delivery activities across engineering projects.
- Coordinate with internal and overseas engineering teams to ensure smooth execution and timely handover.
- Manage customer enquiries, provide technical clarification, and ensure issues are tracked and resolved.
- Implement and monitor safe systems of work throughout the delivery process.
- Supervise project tasks, delivery receipts, inspections, and customer handovers.
- Track project scope, document deviations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and practices.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Maintain strong organizational control over timelines, quality, and team coordination.
- Support team knowledge development and provide guidance to junior members when needed.
- Conduct client or supplier visits when required, sometimes at short notice.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in maritime engineering, either at sea, in vessel overhaul, or within shipyard/newbuild environments.
- Strong communication skills with experience interfacing directly with clients.
- Solid understanding of safe-working practices within marine/mechanical systems.
- Able to operate independently with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Eligible to obtain project-related security clearance.
- Engineering degree or equivalent background is a plus.
