Summary
On behalf of a Global MNC in the wireless communications sector, we are looking for a Senior Buyer to manage key ODM suppliers. This role is critical for ensuring supply continuity across NPI and mass production phases, mitigating material risks, and supporting global revenue goals through effective procurement execution.
Responsibilities
- Procurement Management: Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including pricing records, ordering, and maintenance of materials with key ODM and accessory partners.
- Supply Continuity: Monitor material allocation and proactively manage shortages; lead recovery plans and provide strategic recommendations to management during constraints.
- Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives for MOQ optimization, lead time reduction, and cost improvement.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to ensure material readiness and participate in department project meetings.
- Process Leadership: Establish, train, and develop standardized procurement processes to drive continuous improvement and team synergy.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of procurement or supply chain experience within the electronics, networking, or EMS industries.
- Strong understanding of allocation management, shortage control, S&OP processes, and advanced ERP/MRP practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite or Oracle experience is a plus) and advanced Excel skills.
- Solid negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to present to executive-level management.
- Fluent in English with the flexibility to support business demands across different time zones
