Summary
Our client is a fast-growing global provider of technology and hardware solutions. We are seeking a Senior Materials Program Manager to lead material readiness, optimize supply chain operations, and provide data-driven insights to support business growth.
Reporting directly to global operations leadership, this high-impact role is ideal for supply chain professionals who excel in fast-paced environments and want to expand their strategic sourcing and program management capabilities.
Responsibilities
Material Planning & Execution (Clear to Build)
- Handle the Clear to Build (CTB) process to ensure smooth execution and provide clear visibility on materials over a 26-week horizon.
- Proactively identify and track material issues (including sub-tier supply chain challenges) until they are fully closed and resolved.
Supply Allocation & Risk Management
- Lead the allocation of components in tight supply, providing an aggregated view of supply versus demand.
- Establish the baseline for program and site-allocation decisions to protect product ramp and production schedules.
New Product Materials Readiness (NPI)
- Lead material readiness during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to deeply understand the supply base and associated challenges.
- Identify critical engineering release milestones, assess the necessity for risk ramps, and manage associated liabilities to safeguard material supply.
Supplier Relationship Management & Market Intelligence
- Build and manage strategic relationships with Asian ODM/JDM/EMS partners to ensure priority allocation, early supply signals, and preferred customer status.
- Conduct regular Supplier Business Reviews to track performance KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness).
- Monitor commodity pricing trends, market availability, and lead-time shifts to recommend make/buy decisions, alternate parts, or pre-buy strategies.
Logistics & Operational Support
- Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize finished product inbound lead times, costs, and inventory control.
- Document defective products and work directly with manufacturers on returns and replacements to maintain continuous production support.
Reporting & Business Insights
- Build, maintain, and deliver concise, timely reports and summaries on a regular basis.
- Provide data-driven visibility and insights to support executive decision-making and business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or quantitative fields.
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or project management.
- Strong domain expertise with Asian ODM / JDM / EMS and product development processes.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, capable of working under pressure in a scaling environment.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Preferred: Experience in a startup or fast-growing environment; advanced predictive modeling skills.
