Summary
An international technology company is seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee the development of advanced hardware systems in Asia. This position plays a key role in coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, managing suppliers, and ensuring smooth execution from early-stage research to large-scale production.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program management for system and component development, covering prototyping, validation, and product integration timelines.
- Manage supplier partnerships from selection and qualification to long-term technical collaboration and performance enhancement.
- Drive the readiness of new product introductions (NPI), ensuring alignment between design, engineering, and manufacturing teams throughout each development phase.
- Collaborate with global design and R&D teams to define technical architecture and system requirements.
- Strengthen supplier quality and process capability by implementing manufacturing validation, quality assurance plans, and structured problem-solving frameworks.
- Supervise testing and validation activities, including the design of prototype test systems and coordination with internal or external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in hardware or system development.
- 5+ years leading cross-functional or new product development programs.
- Strong understanding of the NPI process and lifecycle management.
- Solid technical foundation in hardware technologies, manufacturing processes, and supplier engagement.
- Familiarity with electrical and firmware system interactions and their performance implications.
- Proven experience in developing and executing test and validation plans.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- Experience in AI or ML-related system tools or embedded technologies is a plus.
- Background in production line setup and ramp-up for hardware products is a plus
- Capability to align with business and marketing teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables is a plus.
