Company Overview
Our client is a global vehicle brand developing next-generation mobility platforms across electric powertrain, vehicle control, connectivity, and mechanical systems.
Unlike component suppliers or ODMs, the company owns complete vehicle platforms and works directly with global engineering teams and strategic suppliers to bring innovative vehicle technologies from concept to production.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence future vehicle programs while working at the intersection of engineering execution, supplier development, and product strategy.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Senior Project Manager to lead complex engineering programs involving vehicle systems, electric powertrain technologies, embedded systems, and global supplier ecosystems.
This role acts as the technical and execution bridge between overseas engineering teams, Taiwan / Asia suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive program execution from concept through production readiness while ensuring technical feasibility, supplier capability, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved.
This is not a schedule-tracking PM role. We are looking for a technically strong program leader who can challenge assumptions, identify risks early, influence decision-making, and drive execution across global teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical programs from concept development, RFQ/RFI, prototyping, validation, and production readiness.
- Translate product requirements and business objectives into executable supplier development plans.
- Drive supplier performance, technical issue resolution, risk mitigation, and deliverable tracking.
- Coordinate engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, validation, and overseas stakeholders.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing readiness, and technical feasibility.
- Identify and manage technical, commercial, schedule, validation, and sourcing risks.
- Prepare executive-level project reviews, risk assessments, status reports, and decision materials.
- Support sourcing strategy, supplier selection, POC planning, and technology evaluations.
- Facilitate technical decision-making through structured analysis, trade-off evaluation, and recommendation development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Project Management, Supplier Development, NPI, or Product Development.
- Experience working with OEM, ODM, Tier-1, or global supplier ecosystems.
- Technical background in one or more of the following:
- Vehicle Systems
- EV Powertrain
- Embedded Systems
- Electronics Hardware
- Mechanical Systems
- Mechatronics
- Connected Products
- Strong project planning, risk management, and cross-functional leadership capability.
- Ability to engage in engineering discussions and challenge technical assumptions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent Mandarin and professional English communication skills.
- Experience working within international and matrix organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within automotive, powersports, EV, aerospace, industrial equipment, or advanced technology industries.
- Experience managing suppliers throughout NPI and production launch phases.
- Familiarity with vehicle development processes, system integration, and manufacturing readiness.
- Experience supporting global engineering teams across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Why This Opportunity
- Join a global vehicle Brand rather than OEM/ODM supplier.
- Influence next-generation vehicle and powertrain programs.
- Work directly with international engineering leaders and strategic suppliers.
- High visibility role with exposure to product, engineering, sourcing, and executive stakeholders.
- Opportunity to grow into Senior Program Leadership, Vehicle Platform Management, or Global Engineering Management roles.
