Summary
We are seeking a versatile Field Application Engineer to support the successful integration of advanced wireless connectivity solutions across a broad range of IoT, industrial, and smart device applications.
In this customer-facing role, you will serve as the technical bridge between customers and global engineering teams, providing expertise across wireless communications, embedded systems, hardware integration, and system-level troubleshooting. You will play a key role in helping customers accelerate product development from concept validation through commercial deployment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and global engineering teams.
- Support customer design-in activities, including hardware integration, software development, system validation, and production readiness.
- Assist customers with module configuration, application development, connectivity enablement, and feature implementation.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, firmware, networking, and wireless communication layers.
- Collaborate with product management, R&D, quality, and testing teams to drive issue resolution and project execution.
- Conduct technical training, product demonstrations, and customer workshops.
- Develop technical documentation, application notes, troubleshooting guides, and customer-facing presentations.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of experience in Field Application Engineering, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communication, or related technical roles.
- Strong understanding of 4G LTE / 5G NR / GNSS and etc.
- Familiarity with communication protocols TCP/IP/HTTP/HTTPS/MQTT and etc.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ programming and basic scripting using Python or Shell.
- Familiarity with Embedded Linux and/or RTOS environments.
- Understanding of hardware interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, SDIO, and Ethernet-related protocols.
- Experience using debugging and diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, or power measurement equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes across both hardware and software domains.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and global teams.
