Summary
My client is the Taiwan entity of a multinational group in the logistics and international supply chain space. As the company enters a phase of building out formal financial systems and controls while simultaneously driving digitization and data-driven management, they are looking for a CFO to lead this dual mandate. Reporting directly to the General Manager and partnering closely with Group Finance and the Group CFO, this role will become a key financial partner to the CEO and HQ on business decisions, with influence extending across the group’s broader regional operations. It’s a rare opportunity to shape both the governance foundation and the digital transformation agenda of a growing multinational’s Taiwan operation.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild financial systems, accounting processes, and internal controls to meet global governance standards, with accurate, on-time monthly/annual closes.
- Own approval hierarchies, treasury controls, and tax/audit readiness, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Drive financial digital transformation — ERP, BI, and automation tools — with real-time dashboards and KPI tracking.
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, P&L and cost control; assess margins and ROI on new investments.
- Serve as the local link to HQ finance across regions, executing group initiatives like internal control reviews, transfer pricing, and ESG.
- Support new business initiatives in international trade and cross-border operations, ensuring compliant tax and cash-flow processes.
- Build and develop the finance team, with clear roles, KPIs, and succession planning.
Requirements
- 15+ years in finance, including 3+ years as CFO/Finance Head of a foreign multinational’s Taiwan branch, or as Taiwan-entity CFO of a Taiwan-based multinational group.
- Fluent English, able to work independently with international HQ.
- Bachelor’s or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; audit or listed-company background a plus.
- Strong grasp of IFRS, Taiwan tax, transfer pricing, and cross-border financial governance/FX.
- Strong ownership, logical thinking, and cross-functional communication skills.
