Finance Director

They are seeking a Finance Director who can serve as both a strong financial leader and a trusted business partner to the CEO, helping the organization strengthen financial discipline, improve operational performance, and support long-term business growth.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Director will lead the overall finance function across Taiwan and China operations.

This role combines strategic business partnership with hands-on financial leadership. The ideal candidate will not only ensure sound financial management, but also provide commercial insights, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

The position is well-suited for a finance leader who enjoys being close to the business, balancing strategic thinking with execution.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management
  • Lead all finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and internal control activities across Taiwan and China operations
  • Oversee monthly closing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and annual audit processes
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
  • Ensure compliance with local financial, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and reporting accuracy
• Business Partnership & Planning
  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on financial and operational decision-making
  • Develop financial analyses, business cases, and forecasting models to support business initiatives
  • Establish KPI reporting and performance management frameworks
  • Provide recommendations on profitability improvement, cost optimization, and resource allocation
  • Support evaluation of new business opportunities, investments, and strategic projects
• Cross-Border Finance Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate finance teams across Taiwan and China
  • Enhance reporting transparency, consistency, and communication between entities
  • Manage cross-border financial matters, including foreign exchange, taxation, and regulatory considerations
  • Support organizational alignment and business growth across regions
• Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Strengthen collaboration between finance and other business functions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles
• Strong foundation in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and business finance
• Experience in manufacturing, product-based businesses, or international operations preferred
• Experience managing finance teams across Taiwan and/or China is highly desirable
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
