Company Overview
Our client is a global leader in rugged computing solutions, delivering high-reliability notebooks, tablets, handheld systems, and edge computing devices for mission-critical environments.
Unlike consumer electronics, these products are designed to operate under harsh environments, including wide temperature ranges, shock, vibration, dust, water, and long-term field usage. This creates unique challenges for power architecture, battery integration, charger design, system reliability, and thermal performance.
The engineering team owns the full product lifecycle, from power architecture planning and circuit design to validation, manufacturing support, and mass production.
Job Summary
The Power Engineering Manager will lead power system development for rugged notebook and tablet platforms, covering DC/DC power architecture, charger circuits, adapter validation, battery pack integration, and fuel gauge design.
This role is responsible for both technical leadership and team management, ensuring power designs meet requirements for performance, efficiency, thermal behavior, cost, layout feasibility, safety, and manufacturability.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on power design experience, system-level thinking, and the ability to lead engineers through product development from concept to mass production.
